My New Napa Cottage

I’m finally settling into my new Napa cottage, and I’m obsessed. It’s warm, cozy, and exactly the kind of place I dream about when I’m living out of suitcases and hotel rooms 75% of the time. Both kitchens — indoor and outdoor — feel like they were made for me, and cooking here with friends (or just for myself after a long trip) is already becoming my favorite ritual. I planted a garden with mature herbs and veggies so I can go straight from garden to table, and while I was away for work these last three months, my friend and neighbor took care of everything. I hardly recognized it when I got home — it has absolutely flourished. You’ll see it in the photos below.

And on top of all that, the property came with two vineyards — one to the right of the house and one to the left. The right side is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon vines, and the left side has Sauvignon Blanc vines, which feels like the most perfect Napa pairing. I’m completely enchanted with them. I can’t wait to learn how to make wine from those grapes and see what they become through the seasons.
